About Us

Restoration Justice — Informing. Challenging. Advocating.

Restoration Justice is an independent, justice-centered digital publication committed to reshaping the national conversation around politics, social equity, and criminal justice reform.

Founded in 2025, the platform was born out of a clear need: to create space for truth-telling, education, and advocacy that’s rooted in both lived experience and expert insight. We publish weekly articles that aim to bridge the gap between policy and people, highlighting the systems that shape our society — and the movements pushing for change.

🔎 Our Focus Areas

Our content is built around three central pillars:

🗳️ Current Politics

We make politics personal — because it is. Our analysis connects federal, state, and local policy decisions to their real-world impact, particularly for marginalized and overlooked communities. From voting rights to policy shifts, we break down complex issues in clear, human-centered language.

✊🏾 Social Justice

This section explores the fight for equity across lines of race, gender, class, ability, and identity. We cover cultural trends, community resistance, and legislative movements that challenge systemic inequality and promote dignity, safety, and access for all.

⚖️ Criminal Justice Reform

Our deepest focus. Drawing from academic training and lived experience, we confront the failures of the criminal legal system while advocating for alternatives that prioritize healing, restoration, and accountability. Topics include incarceration, reentry, sentencing reform, and restorative justice.

🧱 Why This Platform Exists

Restoration Justice was founded on the belief that justice must be more than legal procedure — it must be transformative, inclusive, and deeply human.

Too often, conversations about politics, justice, and reform are shaped by people with power — not those most affected. This platform seeks to change that by centering the perspectives of people directly impacted by flawed systems. It’s about truth with context, justice with compassion, and change with urgency.

Our content is shaped by personal encounters with systemic failure, years of academic study in criminal justice, and hands-on experience in advocacy, reentry work, and community outreach. This is not detached commentary — it’s informed, engaged, and grounded in the reality that change is not only necessary, it’s possible.
